The November shortlist for the Premier League’s African Player of the Month will make interesting reading as it reveals an all-Victor cast.
In a release by organisers, New African Soccer, winner of October’s edition, Chelsea’s Nigerian winger Victor Moses tops the shortlist again; with Tottenham’s Kenyan midfield maestro Victor Wanyama hot on his heels.
Nigerian striker, who had been plagued with injury and poor form in recent years, Sunderland’s Victor Anichebe, makes a surprise but deserved entry into the shortlist for the first time since the Award was formed two-and-a-half seasons ago.
The New African Soccer statement highlighted the achievements of these three Africans in a difficult month of November which was punctuated by ‘long travel schedules in an international break of World Cup qualifiers’.
The statement called on interested people to cast their votes through the website (newafricansoccer.com) or through social media websites (@NASmagazine on Twitter) or Whatsapp (+14045476470).
